Our full time EYFS Giraffes and Tigers did a fantastic job this week of showcasing their learning in their class assemblies. Both assemblies were supported brilliantly by parents and relatives making them even more special for the children.

Year 5 Science Trip

Year 5 enjoyed an amazing trip to the National Space Centre in Leicester on Tuesday. The children behaved beautifully and were a credit to the school. there was so much to see and discover. We had to be dragged out very reluctantly at the end of the day because there was so much more that we wanted to explore...! Thank you to all the staff and Governors who accompanied the trip.

Jesvi weighed herself on Earth and compared it to her weight on different planets.

We took part in a workshop on the International Space Station and then designed and built our own.

We had to budget for and purchase different components.

Everyone wanted a Tim Shot...we need to invite him to come and visit us at St.John's

Year 1 Acting masterclass!

Yesterday, we had lots of fun in our English lesson learning about the character of Anansi. We did some 'hotseating' and definitely have some budding actors amongst us!

Fishy Fun

Year one have had an interesting time this afternoon. In science, we have been learning all about fish and birds. First, we used a magnifying glass to closely observe a mackerel and draw parts of its body. Next, we made a poster to show the different body parts that all birds share.

Class 4s Class Assembly

Class 4's Class Assembly

We were so excited to share our learning with all the family and friends who came to our class assembly today.

We started off with our Penguin Song...
We heard some lovely Space logs from our intrepid space explorers in the writing area.
Our brilliant mathematicians shared their shape pictures and knowledge of ordinal numbers...

We saw some of our 'Homework Heroes' who had made amazing planets including Earth and 'Planet Bodhi'!

We also heard from our amazing writers who used lovely adjectives to describe Goldilocks and also those who wrote excellent instructions for pizza!

Not forgetting our fabulous PE children, showing us their skills. And those children who showed us what they had been up to in the role play area...

For those of you who were able to join us, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
