The Wolves

Role play fun in English

The Owls become Actors!

The children in the Owls Class had lots of fun today taking part in role play of the traditional tale 'Little Red Riding Hood'.  They each took on the role of a character and demonstrated amazing teamwork to produce fantastic performances (sadly they are too large of a file to upload).  I can't wait to see how we use this learning in writing our own version of Little Red Riding Hood later this week.  Well done Owls!

Owls Class - Bay Watch

The children in the Owls class had a fantastic day yesterday learning all about our new topic 'Bay Watch'.  The children completed lots of fun activities, including role play at a beach, reading maps and orienteering to find out clues about the very brave Grace Darling, and being creative in learning about seaside towns in the United Kingdom and creating buildings for our own seaside town. Keep up the hard work Owls!  The children demonstrated some fantastic teamwork skills and were very enthusiastic about their learning.  A fantastic first week in Year 2 - well done Owls!

Baywatch - The Dolphins

The Dolphins had a fun filled day finding out about our new topic; Baywatch which is all about islands and geographical features.
We visited the beach and role played what we might do there...

We also planned our own seaside towns using blocks and lego...
We learned about the story of Grace Darling by going on a treasure hunt around school and watched a video clip about her bravery.

The Wolves - Baywatch!

The Wolves had a fantastic time this morning enjoying the island of 'St Johns' as the introduction to their new topic .
