Cave painting with the Meerkats

This afternoon, the Meerkats have continued with their learning about the Stone Age. The children looked at a range of cave paintings and discussed the themes which appeared in many of the pictures. They then used what they had noticed to create stone age designs of their own using chalk pastels. As the weather was so nice, the children then took their art skills outside of the classroom and recreated their cave paintings in chalk on the playground. A wonderfully messy time was had by all!
